My goal is to make it out for an early dip in the ocean most weeks. There’s a serenity and overwhelming sensational filling of the cup that is my heart, when I get to say my morning prayers at the beach. I try to get there before Sunrise to visually experience and witness the rotation of the new day which the Lord has so graciously gifted me with.
On the really good weeks I get to enjoy the experience as the start of my day more than once. And for those weeks I am extra appreciative.
Being situated in such a way during this season of my life and given my current circumstances, it’s a gift which He has set aside specifically for me.
It’s a moment in which I get to be exclusively in the company of both visibly miraculous creation and just me.
Absent of the sounds of a neighborhood waking up for day.
Absent of the humming soundtracks of your typical suburban neighborhood.
Absent of glowing screens and beeping morning alarms.
In these special mornings, it it the relentless, continuous sound of the ocean waves and the tides dapping the shoreline at my feet…”hey, what’s up brother and welcome.” Is what it all speaks to me.
On this particular morning however, the tides were still.
The ocean was supernaturally calm. I noticed this the moment I got on the beach.
The ocean surface, reminded me of my mom’s freshly mopped, kitchen ceramic tile floor. Smooth, still and most loudly the absence of the waves dapping my ankles at the shoreline as I inched into the water that morning.
As I briefly stood there for a moment to observe the distance and stillness of the ocean surface, there it was….off far to my left a dolphin dorsal fin? No, certainly a shark. [it’s about at the 3:29 mark].
Are they always there and I simply never notices because the fins are camouflaged by the wildly battering waves of the sea making their way into the shore?
Or was it a sign, a message yet to be understood.
I stood there for a while about calf deep into the water and observed. I watched the shark swim from way out there off to my to my distant left to swim past me perhaps jut 5-10 feet in front of me. I backed up a little as it drew closer, just to be on the safer side of the moment.
It calmly continued past me and I thought to myself, I hope my gopro capture the moment clearly.
Well, I captured the moment, but not as clearly as I would have liked. But that was a moment I will never forget.
Copy from this line on down.
If you’ve made it this far, I thank you for your time and attention, the two most valuable assets we have in this life, so it means more to me than I can express in mere words. 💙🤗 may your days be filled with blessings and peace.
To my current supporters, thank you for your early encouragement. Let’s keep creating together! Cheers to many more inspiring cups of fulfilling creations.
That is all and once again thank you for reading.
